February 3, 2011 - Dreadnought makes the Post:
“Beer may be the libation of choice for some football fans, but a nice glass of wine goes just as well with victory, and Dreadnought Wines has some suggestions. Pittsburgh "Redd Up Red" Cabernet and "Yinzer Blanc" Chardonnay from Sylvester Winery in California were originally produced in a limited run for Pittsburgh's 250th anniversary, but they were so popular that the winery decided to keep them around.”

“One of our favorite sayings is, “Take a stranger out to dinner”. Mike Gonze, owner of Dreadnought Wines, tells people to do this, meaning that they should venture out of their comfort zone of the wines they normally drink. This is a great way to have wine on a shoestring. Find a wine from a new area that is just coming to the market and try it even if you haven’t had one before. In addition to saving money, you will learn about a new varietal or region.”

October 8, 2010 - Mike responds to the Carlton’s new approach to wine in Pittsburgh Business Times
“Mike Gonze, owner of Dreadnought Wines, a specialty wine seller in the Strip, sees value in helping customers better understand what they’re drinking without the snooty arrogance he recalled from those involved in choosing and selling wine when he started his business more than 20 years ago. “Anything that makes the experience of purchasing wine less intimidating and more fun, I think you’re going to do well with,” he said.”

August 11, 2010 - Mike quoted in a Post article about PLCB’s wine kiosks.
“Mike Gonze, president of Dreadnought Wines, a specialty wine store in the Strip District, said he was not worried about the kiosk affecting his business. "Can you ask the machine a question?" he asked. "If anything, it might be competition for their own stores."”

March, 15 2006 - Dreadnought is included in “where to buy wine in Pgh” according to Pop City Media
“At Dreadnought Wines… you can order a mixed case of wine… you can pick it up or have it delivered to your home. See Mike Gonze who manages the extensive wine selection, for what’s good. And check out the wine tastings the first and third Friday of every month; they also host a monthly wine tasting at the Andy Warhol Museum. Dreadnought is the sole carrier in this area of my friend and Western PA native Gary Eberle’s Paso Robles wines. Here they carry everything from an inexpensive Wooloomooloo chardonnay (on their recommended list at $7.99 a bottle) to premium wines well over $100.”

March 8, 2004 - Mike quoted in Pittsburgh Business Times on “Wine Rescue” filtration
Mike Gonze, president of Dreadnought Imports Ltd. dba Dreadnought Wines in the Strip District, has never heard of a product such as Wine Rescue during his more than two decades in the business. "There has been a lot of conversation in the industry about cork taint, especially during the past four conferences of the Society of Wine Educators (based in Washington, D.C.)," said Mr. Gonze. "Everyone knows we have a problem, but nobody knows how to deal with it other than using screw caps specifically designed for wine bottles."
